MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 27 mm, 12.58 g, 1 h), circa 95-92. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; between the snake heads, AM; to left, monogram of ΠΕΡΓ; to right, thyrsos entwined by a serpent. Kleiner 3. SNG Paris 1725. Attractively toned. Minor areas of weakness and with small scratches and light deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
